This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations are processed, the applicable fees, and the timeline for refund disbursement at The Holiday Today. Because we operate as an independent travel agent and intermediary, refund eligibility and amount are governed primarily by the airline's or supplier's fare rules.
Quick Summary: Most discounted/promotional airline tickets are non-refundable. Refunds, when permitted, are subject to airline fees plus our service fee. Refund processing typically takes 6–12 weeks from the date of cancellation.
To request a cancellation:
Cancellations cannot be processed via SMS, social media, or unconfirmed verbal communication.
Cancellation fees are determined by two components:
Each airline has its own cancellation charge that depends on the fare class, route, and time of cancellation relative to departure. This fee is deducted from the refund amount.
We charge a non-refundable processing fee for handling the cancellation request. This fee covers our agent time, communication with the airline, and refund processing administration. The exact service fee will be disclosed before you confirm the cancellation.

Once a cancellation is processed:
Some airlines may take longer depending on the route, payment method, and internal processing times. We will keep you updated throughout the process.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for booking. If your credit/debit card has expired or been replaced, please contact your bank to confirm how the refund will be credited.
If the airline cancels your flight or significantly changes the schedule:
We will assist you in coordinating with the airline. Please note that refund timelines remain at the airline's discretion.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and other unforeseen events. Travel insurance is often the best safeguard for non-refundable bookings.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay refund processing and could lead to additional administrative fees. Fraudulent chargebacks will be contested with documentation.
In cases of medical emergencies, bereavement, or military deployment, certain airlines offer compassionate exceptions. Supporting documentation (medical certificate, death certificate, deployment orders) is required. We will liaise with the airline on your behalf, but final decisions rest with the airline.
Group bookings (10 or more passengers) are subject to specific group fare rules and may have different cancellation policies, deposit forfeitures, and timelines. These will be communicated at the time of the group booking agreement.
